Tilhenn Klapper est chorégraphe, chanteuse et artiste visuelle franco-américaine diplomée des Beaux-Arts de Paris (atelier Emmanuelle Huynh). Ses œuvres s’inscrivent dans le champ de l’écologie politique, qu’elle met en dialogue avec des questions spirituelles et des savoirs vernaculaires. Elle travaille à partir de danses et musiques traditionnelles, de chants médiévaux ou sacrés, et de sonorités noise ou punk, pour inventer des rituels collectifs de résistance et de régénération. Sa pratique de la sculpture participe de cette même démarche qu’elle nomme «syncrétique». Tilhenn Klapper a grandi en Bretagne dans une famille de guérisseurs, et est formée en herboristerie traditionnelle. Tilhenn Klapper a reçu la bourse DanceWeb (Autriche) en 2021 et poursuit actuellement un doctorat de recherche-création au SACRe (ENS — Beaux-Arts de Paris). Ses œuvres et performances ont été diffusées dans des lieux tels que le MUDAM (Luxembourg, LU), le Théâtre National de Chaillot (Paris, FR), Kanal Centre Pompidou (Bruxelles, BE), Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac (Pantin, FR), Centre culturel tchèque (Paris, FR), etc. En 2025, elle a été lauréate du programme de résidence In Situ piloté par la Fondation Carasso à la Cité Internationale des arts à Paris, et a été invitée en résidence à Cemeti Institute à Yogyakarta, par l'Institut Français en Indonésie. En 2026 elle est lauréate du prix MAIF Métamorphoses avec son collectif crème soleil.

Tilhenn Klapper is a French-American visual artist and choreographer, a graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Paris and Sciences Po Paris, where she wrote a master's thesis on ecofeminist practices in 2018. Her work engages with the field of political ecology, which she brings into dialogue with spiritual questions and vernacular knowledge. She draws on traditional dances and music, medieval or sacred chants, and noise or punk sounds to invent collective rituals of resistance and regeneration. Her sculptural practice is part of this same approach, which she calls “syncretic.” Tilhenn Klapper grew up in Brittany in a family of healers and is trained in traditional herbal medicine. Tilhenn Klapper was awarded the DanceWeb Grant (Austria) in 2021 and is currently pursuing a practise based PhD at SACRe (ENS/Beaux-Arts de Paris). She has presented her work in venues such as MUDAM (Luxembourg, LU), le Théâtre National de Chaillot (Paris, FR), Kanal Centre Pompidou (Bruxelles, BE), Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac (Pantin, FR), Centre culturel tchèque (Paris, FR), etc. In 2025, she was selected in the In Situ residency program run by the Carasso Foundation at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and was invited for a residency at the Cemeti Institute in Yogyakarta by the French Institute in Indonesia. She was recently awarded the MAIF Metamorphosis Prize, along with her collective crème soleil.
