"Correspondance sous terre" prend la forme d'une micro édition (Lia Pradal, Éditions Païen) et d'une performance, toutes deux fruits d’une correspondance entre les artistes-chorégraphes finlandaises et française : Tilhenn Klapper, Ella Skoika, et Anna Torkel. Imaginé par Saija Kangasniemi, le projet "Correspondance sous terre" a été produit par l’Institut finlandais et Ehkä-production.

 

La performance s’inscrit dans la continuité de la pratique collective d’écriture de journaux intimes que les artistes ont partagée pendant deux mois de printemps, lorsque la nature a commencé à fleurir et à germer. Dans ce journal, ils ont partagé leurs paysages intérieurs à travers des écrits quotidiens intuitifs, sur la vie ordinaire et extraordinaire, ainsi que sur les choses les plus invisibles. Au cours de la performance, qui prend forme à travers le texte, le mouvement et le son, le journal continue de s’écrire.​

Les paysages intérieurs pourraient-ils se dissoudre dans une expérience collective et créer des moments d’interdépendance ? Quels types de liens pourraient être créés par des pratiques artistiques et spirituelles entre deux pays, à travers une correspondance souterraine ? Quelles énergies, questions et idées pourraient être transmises sous terre et quels types de sujets émergeraient à la surface ?

“Correspondance sous terre” takes the form of a micro-edition (Lia Pradal, Éditions Païen) and a performance, both the result of correspondence between Finnish and French artist-choreographers: Tilhenn Klapper, Ella Skoika, and Anna Torkel. Conceived by Saija Kangasniemi, the “Correspondance sous terre” project was produced by the Finnish Institute and Ehkä-production.

 

The performance is a continuation of the collective practice of writing diaries that the artists shared for two months in the spring, when nature began to blossom and sprout. In this diary, they shared their inner landscapes through intuitive daily writings about ordinary and extraordinary life, as well as the most invisible things. During the performance, which takes shape through text, movement, and sound, the journal continues to be written.

Could interior landscapes dissolve into a collective experience and create moments of interdependence? What kinds of connections could be created by artistic and spiritual practices between two countries, through correspondence? What energies, questions, and ideas could be transmitted underground, and what kinds of topics would emerge on the surface?
